PopKW wird gefördert durch die Initiative Musik und das Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Landesverband für Populäre Musik und Kreativwirtschaft M-V e.V.
PopKW beschäftigt sich mit der Förderung populärer Musik an der Schnittstelle zwischen Kunst, Kultur, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft. Der Verein hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Rahmenbedingungen für Musikerinnen und Musiker Populärer Musik im Kontext der Kreativwirtschaft zu verbessern, das heißt im Einzelnen:
- Aufbau von regionalen und überregionalen Präsentationsflächen
- Bereitstellung und landesweiter Austausch von Informationen
- überregionale und internationale Kooperation mit Förderern Populärer Musik und der
Kreativwirtschaft
- Entwicklung, Anwendung und Vermittlung geeigneter Businessmodelle inklusive
Standortentwicklung und Standortkommunikation
- Beratung in musikbranchenspezifischen Fragestellungen
- Förderung von Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung
- Initiierung und Durchführung von fördernden Projekten
Dabei verfolgt der Verein ausschließlich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Zwecke.

PopKW - State Association for popular music and creative economy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Registered Society)
PopKW deals with the support of popular music at the interface between art, culture, economy and science. The Association has set itself the task to improve the basic conditions for musicians of popular music in the context of creative economy. That means in detail:
- build-up of local and national presentation surfaces
- provision and nationwide exchange of information
- national and international cooperation with sponsors of popular music and creative economy
- development and mediation of suitable business models including development and communication of the location
- advice in specific issues concerning music industry
- support of education and advanced training
- initiation and realization of supporting projects
The association is exclusively and directly pursuing non-profit aims.
